YA Scavenger Hunt

I know, I know, I don’t post nearly as often as I should… but now I have something fun for you:

A YA Scavenger Hunt!

In June, An Alliance of Young Adult Authors —  a group I’m a proud member of — is sponsoring a massive young adult scavenger hunt. This is a chance to meet some new authors, grab a bunch of free books, and sign up to win a whole bunch of epic prizes!

In addition to the $500 grand prize, each author will be giving away lots of free books and cool stuff (for my part, I’ll probably have a set of my own books).

OPEN JUNE 1ST ~ JUNE 7TH

When the scavenger hunt begins (June 1st) all you have to do is visit each site below in order and write down the special word to reconstruct the story. You can enter any of the giveaways or offers on anybody’s site, or just grab the special word and move on. I’ll add a link soon where you can enter for the grand prize when you have the full story.

RULES

Each author will be given a special keyword, which will be bolded and all caps like this: BUTTERFLIES.

All you have to do is visit all the author’s sites in this order, write down the special keywords to discover the short story, then enter the giveaway with the completed short story HERE.

There will be one main giveaway for the main prize, but most of the participating authors will also have smaller giveaways for free books, amazon credit and author swag, so make sure you read their post carefully to see what else they’re offering while you’re on their site for the keyword.

Also, keep in mind that some of the keywords will be easy to find, some of them harder. If you get stuck, click on the “blog” and look for the most recent post, then try to find the word that looks different or out of place. Again, it should be bolded and in all caps.

    • It’s in the following post.
      The keyword follows the guideline.
      It’s bold and ALL CAPS…

  1. The only word that is bold in all CAPS is BUTTERFLIES and thats the example word in the directions for all the pages.

  2. An interesting discussion will be worth comment. I believe that you simply write more on this topic, it will not often be a taboo subject but normally everyone is insufficient to chat on such topics. To the next. Cheers

  3. Hiya, I’m really glad I’ve found this information. Today bloggers publish only about gossips and internet and this is really irritating. A good website with interesting content, that’s what I need. Thanks for keeping this web site, I’ll be visiting it. Do you do newsletters? Can’t find it.
